FMA UK Head office to move to Scotland

We are pleased to announce that the Head Office of FMA UK will be moving from Cradley Heath to Scotland during early December 2012 with an aim to be fully operational once more after the Christmas holidays. We have the opportunity at this time to benefit from sharing high quality office space and facilities with some companies that share our belief in the Fibromyalgia cause.
After careful consideration of all options open to the trustees it was decided that for efficient use of funding and effective use of human resources, this was the best option.
In Paisley, FMA UK will benefit from the office having a trustee being able to oversee its operation once more but it was also the benefit of the volunteer pool that is available in the local area and we have already had some positive feedback from local volunteer organisations and the local fibromyalgia support group.
The trustees of FMA UK have taken the decision to move its office as it sees a chance to improve and develop the services that it offers. We hope that this will help us in our aim to grow the support that we offer the group structure that FMA UK has helped develop around the UK.
The more volunteer involvement, the more services we can offer and still maintain standards, therefore if you are able to volunteer locally to the Head office in Paisley then please contact Des Quinn.

If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.

You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
