Awareness Event at COVENTRY CITY F.C

Sharron, one of our forum members has organised a Football programme insert for the Paul Flecher Memorial Trophy at the RICOH ARENA COVENTRY CITY F.C on 17th April 2008 kick off at 7pm. The match is between Coventry schoolboys v Swindon Schools.
Sharron has been very keen to promote awareness of FM and has come up with an ingenious idea of reaching a sizeable number of people. Sharron says "we have one whole page about fibromyalgia that is going to be in the programme that is given to all supporters that are coming to the game, they estimate around two thousand people plus at the game"
Sharron's son plays for the schoolboys team that will be playing on the night and the manager is more than happy to promote awareness of the cause due to his understanding of how much Sharron suffers from this condition.
For anyone interested in attending the event, tickets are £3 upon entry and you will receive a copy of the programme with the insert included upon entry.

If your Health Care Professional needs some education in fibromyalgia you can request that an FMA UK Health Professionals Pack is sent out to them. All we need is the name of the Health CareProfessional and the address of their practice. We will then send a pack to their surgery addressed from us to them.

You can find a Support Group near you by contacting the Regional Coordinator for your area. If there does not happen to be a support group near you then maybe you can join with some other members and set one up. Support groups provide a social benefit as well as the opportunity to share tips on coping with fibro. They come in all shapes and sizes and we are often told how they have helped people.
