Bedroom Window - a poem

Thank you to Jemella Gosling for sharing this poem which is part of her Flutterby Series.

Bedroom Window
by Jemella Gosling as part of the Flutterby Series

Through my open window,
I smell the world outside.
And I listen to it sounds,
Duly passing by.

Outside my bedroom window,
Lives a wondrous place for me.
I imagine all it wonders,
A magical place to be.

Within my imagination
is a world I have created.
It’s full of wondrous happenings,
Which helps me, when I’m deflated.

Characters are all inside my head.
And we have so much fun playing,
When I’m trapped within my bed.

Mary Poppin’s with a cheeky umbrella
I’ve have character who’s nick name is Ella
Witches in wardrobes
Wizards, Goblins and Orks,

Bed knobs and broomsticks
Oh what a wonderful mix
They are full of wonder and magical tricks

Harry, Ron and Hermione,
And Whomping willow tree?
King Arthur, Excalibur and Galahad,
Merlin, Nimue, and Queen Mab.

Helen Bonham Carter
What amazing rolls you’ve had!
Even though my days are blighted
I can still feel truly excited!

Through my open window,
I smell the world outside.
And I listen to it sounds,
Duly passing by.

Imagination is a the way for me
It helps me cope with my FM.E
