Results of RC and Assistant RC Nominations

FMA UK is delighted to announce the results of the recent nominations for regional co-ordinators (RC) and assistants.  As it turned out there was no need for any voting as there were no multiple nominations for any region.

With the nominations that came forward from Wales, we are now able to have a region exclusively for Welsh groups.  This will enable those groups to have a co-ordinated voice for issues, particularly for the differences encountered in the Welsh NHS and political field. Previously the South and North Wales areas were covered by the South West Region and the North West region respectively.

Thank you to all those regional co-ordinators and assistants who are to continue their good work and a warm welcome to those new to the role.

Although not part of the nomination process Angela Campbell came forward after positions were decided with an interest in helping out in the North East Region. As an Assistant RC she would have helped our long established RC for the Area Angelo (Doc) Doherty. However Doc felt that with Angela coming forward now would be a good time to concentrate on his group and step back a little.

Therefore we now have a new Regional Coordinator for the North East and I am sure Angela, Bev, and the new assistant RCs will join the established RCs in taking the fibromyalgia cause forward.
